A traditional Father’s Day weekend fishing trip becomes a memorable fishing moment for Nick Anderson of Greenville, North Carolina. Nick, his father Rick, and brother Jeremy have a yearly family tournament to see who can catch the biggest fish. Not only did Nick win, he set the WORLD record! His 143 pound, 57 inch long Catfish beat out the previous world record by thirteen pounds! Nick’s fish also beat out Virginia’s previous state record holder, caught within the last three months on Buggs Island Lake as well. Nick Anderson’s fish was caught and then certified at Mecklenburg Supply on June 18, 2011.
